08 24 2019: I’ll be developing a new expanded film/augmented reality project as part of the London Creative Network (LCN) artist development program at SPACE in 2019/2020. Drawing from research undertaken during my DYCP grant project from Arts Council England, this work will examine archeology/excavation as a process of co-authorship, Brexit, multi-narrative hypertexts v modernist narratives, the relationship btwn monotheism n’ fake-news, and chaos magic ( amongst other things ) Yeah, this gonna be fun <3 [LCN is brought-2-U by the lovely folks at the European Regional Development Fund]

01 04 2019: Digital&Dead will be part of the Focus – Next: Outcome Showcase at SPACE (London/UK), running 5-12 April, with private view on Thursday April 4th from 6:00-9:00 pm. Participating artists-in residence include Clarice Hilton, Shinji Toya & Murad Khan, Chris Wood, Josefina Nelimarkka, Stine Deja, Sarah Derat & Rachel McRae & Hannah Silva.

25 02 2019: Most Dismal Swamp is launching Swamp Protocol at Arebyte Gallery (London/UK) on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 6 PM – 9 PM. The project includes myself, David Atlas, Iain Ball, Lara Joy Evans, Samuel Capps, Holly Childs, Lea Collet and Marios Stamatis, core.pan, Porpentine Charity Heartscape, Marija Bozinovska Jones with MBJ Wetware, Will Kendrick, Benoit Ménard, Sarah Montet, Anni Nöps, Eva Papamargariti, Jakob Kudsk Steensen, Viktor Timofeev, Kyle Zeto Thorne.

Swamp Protocol is a protean compression of data by 18 artists working across digital media, installation, performance, machine learning, music, film and poetry. At arebyte Gallery, it is remixed and presented as a site-specific film installation including a spatial 8-channel sound work by producer and genre fluid DJ Anni Nöps.

It is the first project by Most Dismal Swamp, an experimental art platform and record label simulating and exploring a contemporary ecology that has come to be defined by the hallucinatory entanglement of multiple logics, systems, temporalities, and realities: a mixed-reality paradigm; a pervasive, horizonless swampscape.

Most Dismal Swamp is a mixed-reality biome, an art platform, a multi-scalar mystic fiction, a forecasting laboratory, a long tail, a transitional ecosystem, a party, a cognitive scaffold, a bad dataset, a curatorial MMORPG, a memeplex aggregator, a planetary weirding studio, and a record label. 06 21 2018: Picked up STEP travel grant for the In-ruins Residency. This funding is provided by the European Cultural Foundation with the support of Compagnia di San Paolo.

06 11 2018: Digital&Dead (Sarah Derat and myself) have been selected for the In-ruins Residency & scholarship, taking place in Aug/Sept at the Archaeological Park of Scolacium (Borgia, IT). In-ruins Residency is an international art research project looking at the dynamics of archaeology in relation to digital technology. The residency’s aim is to create spaces of encounter between archaeological landscapes and contemporary art practices. This scholarship has kindly been donated by the Armonie d’Arte Foundation.
